Recently I got a mail from a mate asking a solution to the problem he was getting after installing IIS(Internet Information Services).
When he tried to access http://localhost the browser would popup a box asking for username and password.
So I made a small tutorial for this and thought of sharing it.
For Mozilla Firefox
1. Open firefox and type in the address bar about:config
2. type ntlm in the textbox.
3. Double click on network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris and type localhost there.
4. Click on OK.
Now it should work fine.
For Internet Explorer
Perform the following steps
1.TOOLS ->Internet Options
2.Security->Local Intranet->Sites
3.Uncheck the first Checkbox and Check the rest of the box
